Projects Officer (Policy & Communications)
£27,052 – £30,851
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Projects Officer (Policy & Communications) to join the South Yorkshire Forest Partnership (SYFP) and help with the promotion of various projects within the team, including major European co-operation initiatives.
A highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for managing the communications strategy and dealing with day-to-day communications in connection with projects and SYFP.
Reporting to the Director, you will manage a wide range of activities including policy influencing, stakeholder engagement and communications. You will ensure that this work is delivered on time, on budget and on brief. You will co-ordinate communications for projects including various EU funded projects with partners across Europe and the ‘Gift that Grows’ community development tree planting scheme. This post will involve travel within the UK and across Europe.
We are looking for a strong team worker and someone who has experience in environmental and regeneration issues and/or marketing and communications expertise, combined with a passion for environmental issues. The postholder will play a crucial role in helping to represent and promote the South Yorkshire Forest Partnership.
Although this post is initially funded for one year, additional funding may become available to further extend the post. You will be expected to work with the team to help secure future funding.
