With New Opportunities Fund lottery support, the South Yorkshire Forest Partnership established greensites.co.uk as a ‘one stop shop’ interactive environmental web-site (a web ‘portal’) of the South Yorkshire region. It already provides all the people of the region (and beyond) with a vehicle that will gives fast and easy access to information about natural heritage, environmental learning materials and other environmental information throughout their lives and to make it relevant to their daily living.

The website provides people of all ages with an opportunity to enhance and develop their knowledge of South Yorkshire’s countryside at their convenience, at their own pace and in a place easily accessible to them.
